I’ve traveled everywhere in the country. And with every place I’ve visited, I’ve sipped on my favourite beverage, coffee, in many various coffee shops. I have never been an individual to just cease on the nearest coffee chain for my coffee fix either. I’ve at all times been one to look for the “mom and pop” type coffee place. The places whose character is formed by the owners, staff and people who frequent the shop.

Beneath are the highest four things I think create a coffee shop’s character and make it what it is.

Music

To me, music can impact anything. Your temper, your energy, and well, your coffee shop. Music can greatly enhance or totally destroy the vibe of a cafe. I really feel like a coffee shop should be consistent in the type of music it performs to its customers. If it performs calming acoustic music sooner or later, but dance music the subsequent, prospects could not know what to expect. While selection could be a great thing, attracting a constant type of customer base might not work out so well if a shop’s music is simply too diverse. A perfect example of not being consistent is when considered one of my favourite coffee shops played electronic music constantly and then one day blared vulgar rap music. I had to depart so I may get my work done.

Workers

A friendly staff is super important. My everyday shop is about 50% associated to the fact that I do know the staff and really feel comfortable at the shop. They know my name, what I drink and all about me.

Atmosphere

The ambiance of a shop is everything. It is created by the people in it, the music, the shop’s design and the art on the wall. All of those things work together create an energy and a vibe. Personally, I like consistency. Additionally, I like a mixture of coziness with an eclectic feel. Pictures, paintings, and displays of collectibles are a few of my favorites. Also, this is one which’s important, temperature. Probably the most common coffee chains I can think of appears to want to freeze their prospects out by jacking up the air conditioner. That is an effective way to break everything.

The Coffee Itself

Since I am talking about what makes a coffee shop a “good” coffee shop, I probably also need to talk about what I personally think is one of the most essential factors in having one. The actual coffee and products offered. Are there just three gadgets offered? Is the coffee genuinely good? Is it too weak? Does it have a bad aftertaste? Is there coffee per every order?
